Activate8 is held in the top and bottom halls of the corps opposite the law courts in the Merthyr town center.

It runs weekly on a Friday night starting from 6 pm to 7:15 pm. The present format starts with music & games.

This is followed by various craft and game activates .At present the age limit is 5 years to 12 years with an entrance fee of £1 for all ages. At present membership is approximately 100 with a weekly average of 50
